With activities like bike rides through coconut plantations, meal preparations with villagers, jeep safaris, and excursions to breathtaking sites like the Sigiriya Lion’s Rock and Anuradhapura, this journey covers the heart and soul of Sri Lanka’s history, traditions, and daily life.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, explore Negombo’s lively fishing port, especially vibrant in the early morning hours. After settling into your hotel, spend the evening relaxing and adjusting to your surroundings.

Ride bicycles through Madampella, experiencing village life amidst coconut plantations and tile factories. Participate in a local food preparation session, and, after lunch, visit the Muneshwaram Temple before heading to Kalpitiya for the night.

Take an optional boat ride to witness dolphins in Kalpitiya. Then, cross the lagoon to Wilpattu for an exciting jeep safari in one of Sri Lanka’s most famous national parks. Rest overnight at a nearby eco-lodge.

Arrive in Anuradhapura, the island’s first capital. After checking in, spend the afternoon exploring its historic sites, including the sacred Bo Tree.

Travel to Jaffna, passing through Elephant Pass and visiting iconic sites like the Old Dutch Fort and Nallur Temple. The afternoon offers more city explorations and a chance to visit the local bazaar.

Explore key Jaffna sites like Chunakkam, Keeramalei, and Kasurina Beach before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Before leaving Jaffna you have a possibility of visiting the historical Nagadeepa Temple situated on an island. Journey to Trincomalee, where the afternoon is free for relaxation along the coastal setting.

Start early with a whale-watching excursion. Discover Hindu temples, local markets, and the Koneshwarm Temple before heading to Sigiriya for a restful evening.

In the morning you will be traveling by local bus to have an ambiance with the local community. Then arrive in Aukana to see the astonishing giant statue of Lord Buddha carved out of one block of granite rock.Your next visit is to Ritigala, another marvel of ancient Sri Lankan history. The environment gives real feelings of tranquility in this serene site surrounded by a thick jungle. Explore a village. Have lunch with a village family and experience local blessings from Buddhist monks.

Ride bicycles to explore Polonnaruwa’s ruins. After exploring the historical archeological site, we will take you to a village house for lunch.  The idea is to show different kinds of Sri Lankan dishes and allow you to taste a vast choice & varieties of local food that we prepare in the villages.

Visit Medirigiriya’s serene ruins and Lion’s Rock in Sigiriya. Then join village hosts for a hands-on meal preparation experience. Enjoy an evening at an eco-lodge amidst the jungle.

Walk through jungle paths to the secluded Kaludiyapokuna and journey to the Pidurangala monastic site by tuk-tuk. An evening gathering with locals offers music, dance, and traditional cuisine (This option is for Group of 05 and above)

Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and continue to Kandy via Matale, with a possible stop at a herbal garden. Witness a cultural dance before settling into your hotel.

During the pooja ceremony, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and explore Kandy’s attractions, including the renowned Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Continue to Ramboda for an overnight stay.

Experience village life in Ramboda before a scenic train ride through lush mountains to Bandarawela, where you’ll spend the night with a host family.

Explore Bandarawela by tuk-tuk, traversing tea plantations, valleys, and rice paddies. Reach Lipton’s Seat for breathtaking views, then return to your homestay for an evening of meal preparation with your host family.

Discover Ella and trek to Little Adam’s Peak. Head on to Galoya stopping at historical Ravana Falls to capture some photos to recall your trip via the kingdom of Ravana.

Start the day with a boat safari to observe wild elephants and, later, take a jeep safari through Galoya National Park.

After a visit to an aboriginal village, continue to Kataragama and join devotees for an evening pooja ceremony at Kataragama Temple.

Embark on an early morning safari at Yala National Park before traveling to Tangalle for a beachside stay.

Head along the coast, stopping to explore the Old Dutch Fort in Galle and enjoy lunch amid sea turtles at Polhena. Continue to Bentota for the night.

Enjoy a relaxed morning before transferring to the airport. If time permits, take a city tour of Colombo.
